Jae Yates, (They/Them) Program Coordinator
A graduate of the U of M, Jae spent their academic career focused on issues of systemic inequality in the sciences and humanities. During the 2020 uprising, Jae worked with groups of friends to provide direct aid to people in Minneapolis who were cut off from grocery stores. This work informed their help in the creation of CANMN, a 100% grassroots organization focused on mutual aid. Jae is passionate about the fact that food, housing, and healthcare are basic human rights that everyone should have access to and is excited to form additional community partnerships through the Du Nord Foundation.
